I am still learning the machine, but with all the YouTube videos out there I've gotten a quick lesson or two. At first I was hunting in the default mode with the sensitivity at 90(the soil is not that trashy were I was). It was fine but when I got into the really trashy spots I would lower the sens and I started hearing good solid tones again. I will save the photos of the finds for the end of this post..
I worked in the trees and woods where a possible camp was during the Civil War. I found quite a few shotgun brass, several smaller shot, and even an old Barlow frame. When I moved out into the field I switched to all metal motion and boosted the sens to 90.. I was definitely impressed with how deep this machine was hitting on the tiny round shot.. most looked like they were buck and ball rounds.. Most of you already know what this machine is capable. I dare say Oklahoma is not a true test of what this machine is capable, but man can you cover some ground with it. Again I am still learning, but impressed yes.. ready to hunt more of my bigger field spots.. This was from 3 short hunts.
Thanks for looking..
