After the success of the first day, we were anxious to get back to our new honey hole. With the CTX3030 loaded with my favorite setting, we began where we had left off. I had marked where my grid was from the previous day, pulled the marker and began to work.....
Recently Gonehunting for History and Silver Fiend http://www.TheSilverFiend.com has been teaming up to hit new properties. Most of the time we find a few goodies, but this last weekend was a slam dunk for us both...
This last weekend I was fortunate enough to hunt 3 days. 2 of the was some sort of a struggle.. Whether it was a construction site or a courtyard that every hunter in the county had hit..
Earlier this last year I found a vacant lot that had a 1890's homeplace on it. The very first hunt there produced a silver dime grand slam. I got a call of a hunter that was going to be in the area, so I loaded up the CTX3030(contact me for details) and headed out...
I was anxious to get back to the house I had hunted the day before. The chance of finding more relics and silver was too much not to go.
I got there rather late and the landowner was there. He had to eat so I turned on the GPS and went to griding.
With the recent storms, cold snap, and winds like a hurricane, I haven't even wanted to get out, but finally today the sun came out and it warmed up.. I had cabin fever and headed back to the Blossom homeplace where I found the J.V. Searcy token was found a few weeks ago..
Saturday I got a chance to hunt with Duck Dynasty's Willie..... Ok, no I didn't.. Bart Davis from Bigboyshobbies.net came to town.
I had to run to town to pickup a few things and the bug was biting me. I had the Deus in the back seat so I looked for a spot to hit. I went over to a house that was built in 1897, unfortunately it burned down around 8 years ago. I had skipped over this spot because of all the old pipes and junk metal left there on the ground.
Most of the targets were either near the surface or under 5 inches.
Here is a list of the finds as they came.. lol sorry nothing exciting.. just a quick hunt.
I went up north to visit with my family. Got to spend some quality time with them. The weather was beautiful and I got out for a couple of hunts. The city I was in has several detectorist's that hunt there, but it is rather large and a huge history from the turn of the century.
In the last week I have had 2 chances to return to some of my spots from this summer. With the CTX3030 in tow, I had upgraded my machine with addition of the 6 inch coil. One spot in particular had produced quite a few coins this last summer that were in the 1920′s and older.
