Went with buddy SilverFiend to a new town in hopes of gaining new spots for the year. We stopped at a larger home place from around 1896. From the get go we were having problems with large iron in the ground...
I haven't taken the XP Deus out in almost a year and I was really wanting a change of pace. It only took me a few minutes of swinging it in my target garden and I was ready to go. A slightly modified Deus Fast with version 2.0 software.
Here is the video footage on the last couple of hunting trips.. Hope you enjoy!
With the recent storms, cold snap, and winds like a hurricane, I haven't even wanted to get out, but finally today the sun came out and it warmed up.. I had cabin fever and headed back to the Blossom homeplace where I found the J.V. Searcy token was found a few weeks ago..
I have updated information on this story. New info is in red.. Evan
Recently I have hunted heavily with the CTX, and have really been wanting to take out the Xp Deus. I went back to a spot that I had hunted part of for the last couple of month. Here is what I know abou the property and the home that sat there.
I finally got to hunt with my new Minelab CTX 3030, and seemed to be doing good in some hunted out spots.. I went to the spot where I had found the Civil War reunion badge and metal pictures. Me and a friend had gone there but really didn’t find a lot. So I decided it would be the first spot to really test it out..
The first 3-3hour hunts produced 3 mercs, 2 buff’s not in picture, another metal picture(flat piece at top, appears to be a farm scene) and several other finds including a WWI dog tag. I also found 2 silver necklace charms, and Good For Token….
Took the E-Trac out today to try and find a little silver and shoot a vid with the new camera… I hit several old houses that I had never hunted before.. Fill had had his way with two of the yards and I only found modern clad and junk… I moved around on one yard to where the landscaper hadn’t gotten to it.
