Here in SE Oklahoma it has been so dry that hunting any where has been almost impossible. The ground is like concrete. Luckily we finally received a good rain and the ground was at least soft enough to get digger in.
With the recent cooler weather, the recon trip to the river bottom to find the crossing was weighing heavy on my mind. I was hoping that the snakes had become less of a problem.. Well I was wrong.
Recently, Funker Tactical from Facebook(click to check them out) and Funker Tactical's YouTube Channel(click here to go there) gave me the chance to review a new pair of Danner Boot's.
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS.. I still have a lot to add...

Garrett has stepped up and offered a Pulse induction machine for the gold prospector and the relic hunter. With multiple features, the All Terrain Extreme is offered at a lower price than it's competition...
I've had about all I can stand of not getting to go on a relic hunt. It was to the point, that the 105 degree heat wasn't even a deterrent. I have been researching a stage line, supply line, and town access crossing on a large creek that is in my county. The walk was about a mile, which isn't that far but the briars, switch cane, and down trees made traveling hard. I did dodge a small group of hogs, oh and the snakes.
Here is the video footage on the last couple of hunting trips.. Hope you enjoy!
I can't tell you how long I have wanted this machine.. Specifically for relic field hunting. I love my other detectors, but this is one that I wanted use in the plowed fields near some of my relic spots. One in particular has been hard hit for over 50 years now.
